Dwayne (Dopsie) Rubin hails from one of the most influential zydeco families in the world. Zydeco sits at the crossroads of Creole, Cajun, gospel and the blues with an upbeat energy rooted in Louisiana French accordion music and Afro-Caribbean beats. Inspired by tradition, Dwayne has developed his own high-energy style that blazes a refreshingly distinct path for 21st-century zydeco music. His music blends zydeco with R&B, funk, rock and roll, reggae and pop. This singer, songwriter and accordionist has performed all over the world since debuting his band, Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers, at age 19.

A 2022 Grammy Award recipient and Big Easy Award winner for Best Zydeco Band, Dopsie is known for his talent and magnetic stage presence, making him one of today's most dynamic and captivating performers.
